Print Samples for the BigRep ONE (guides, factory files and stl)

A good way to start getting to know your printer and the great variety of options available on Simplify3D, is to print one of the samples we provide you.

Here are some step by step manuals to start using the printer. You can also download any of our samples and start slicing and printing!

I.  WHAT DO YOU NEED?

  • The Toolbox files folder (download), which contain the factory file and the .stl file you need
  • A spool with more than 50 g of 2.85 mm PLA filament.
  • Simplify3D.
    If you don’t have a license, get in touch with our team at support@bigrep.com

II. Slicing

 6.  Modify the process settings, introducing the values we give you on the image below. You just need to change the values marked in yellow.

7. Save your file by clicking on File > Save Factory File as… That way you will be able to edit your settings in the future.

8. And now… click on Prepare to Print!
9. Preview your slicing and Save Toolpaths to Disk.

III. PREPARE THE MACHINE

1. CLEAN THE PRINT BED. Use ethanol (pure, with no additives) on a piece of smooth cloth.

2. START THE MACHINE

3. HEAT THE MACHINE

4. INSERT THE FILAMENT IN THE EXTRUDER

IV. PRINT!

1. LOAD YOUR FILE. Don’t start the print if the bed is not heated yet

 3. TAKE CARE OF THE FIRST LAYER

Your first layer should look like the one shown on the first image.  If it doesn’t you will have to adjust the distance between the extruder and the bed, as shown on the right image.


4. REMOVE THE PRINT

a) Wait until the printer has cooled down.

b) Remove the print by hand or with a spatula

c) Enjoy your Toolbox!
